Mulika Afrika is a community-focused organization founded by Paul Ole Leitura, born out of a deep passion and commitment to the upliftment of the Maasai community in Tanzania. Established in 2013, Mulika Afrika’s mission is to empower, educate, and uplift the Maasai community, with particular emphasis on children, women, and the youth.

Born and raised in the small Maasai village of Ololosokwan, Paul’s intimate understanding of the community’s challenges and aspirations shapes the organization’s operations. Mulika Afrika recognizes that for real change to happen, the approach must be multifaceted – addressing the immediate needs for health and psychosocial support, while also focusing on long-term sustainable development through education, empowerment, and advocacy.

As an organization, we strongly believe in the power of teamwork and collective effort. Mulika Afrika comprises a team of dedicated individuals, united by the shared vision of creating a sustainable and promising future for the Maasai community.

Our primary initiatives are spread across various domains – Education, Healthcare, Empowerment of Women and Girls, Environmental Conservation, and Land Rights Advocacy. Each of these programs is designed to address specific challenges facing the Maasai community and are steered with the broader goal of fostering self-reliance and resilience.

At Mulika Afrika, we understand that real change takes time. Hence, we are committed to our cause for the long haul. Through partnerships, collaborations, and the continued support of our benefactors, we hope to make a tangible difference in the lives of the Maasai people and help shape a brighter, more equitable future.
